The State historical-cultural and literary-memorial reserve-museum of Abai “Zhydebai-Borili”

The State historical-cultural and literary-memorial reserve-museum of Abai “Zhydebai-Borili” was created following the decree of Sovnarkom of Kazakh SSR from April 1, 1940. Its opening ceremony was held on October 16, 1940 in the time of celebration of 95 years since poet’s birth. It was the first literary-memorial museum in Kazakhstan history.

ASTANA OPERA – THE PRIDE OF KAZAKHSTAN

The State Opera and Ballet Theatre “Astana Opera” was founded on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in 2013. “A country, that builds factories and roads, creates a firm foothold for years to come. A country, that builds schools and hospitals, takes care of the future of a nation for decades. A country, that builds theatres, looks forward for the coming centuries…” Nursultan Nazarbayev said at the official opening of the theatre.

OTRAR STATE ARCHAEOLOCICAL PRESERVATION MUSEUM

Widely known across the Orient, the medieval city of Otrar stands at the point where several branches of the Great Silk Road crossed this region from 3rd century B.C. on. It became famous as a birth place of Abu Nasr al-Farabi, an outstanding encyclopedic scientist. Otrar was a large political, economical, cultural and trade centre which played an important role in the history of Central Asia. In the 6-8th centuries Otrar-Farab was the capital of a big early feudal domain in the middle confluence of the Syrdaria. In the 9th-12th centuries Otrar became the principal town of the region. In the 13th-15th centuries it was one of the biggest towns of South Kazakhstan and in the 16th-18th centuries it was the political and economic centre of the Kazakh Khanate.

National Historical and Cultural Reserve “Ordabassy”

The Republican Statе Enterprise of National Historical and Cultural Reserve “Ordabasy” was opened by the order of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan of May 12, 1993 №1213. Reserve was established on the basis of archaeological and historical events.

The State Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum "Issyk"

The State Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum "Issyk" was established in 2010 on the initiative of the Head of State N.A. Nazarbayev within the framework of the Strategic National Project "Cultural Heritage" on the territory of necropolis Issyk, where in 1970 in one of burial mounds was discovered the undisturbed burial of the "Golden Man".
